හිටපු ජනාධිපති මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා, හිටපු ජනාධිපතිනී චන්ද්‍රිකා බණ්ඩාරනායක කුමාරතුංග මහත්මියගේ ආරක්ෂාව අඩු කිරීම සදහා අධිකරණයේ නඩුවක් ගොනුකළ බව රජයට සම්බන්ද දේශපාලකයන් ප්‍රකාශ කල බව මේ දිනවල මාධ්‍ය ඔස්සේ ප්‍රචාරයවේ.එම චෝදනාව තරයේ ප්‍රතික්ෂේප කරමි.
ජනාධිපති ලේකම් කාර්යාලය හෝ ආරක්ෂක අමාත්‍යාංශය හෝ හිටපු ජනාධිපති මහින්ද රාජපක්ස මහතා විසින් එවැනි නඩුවක් ගොනුකර නොමැත.එම නඩුව ගොනු කර ඇත්තේ රාජ්‍ය නොවන සංවිධානයක් විසිනි.
එවකට ආරක්ෂක ලේකම්වරයා ලෙස කටයුතු කල ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා හිටපු ජනාධිපති තුමියගේ ඉල්ලීමක් අනුව එතුමියගේ නිල නිවසට ගොස් සාකච්චාකර එතුමියගේ ආරක්ෂක ප්‍රධානියාගේ ඉල්ලීම අනුව ආරක්ෂක නිලධාරීන් සහ අවශ්‍ය කරන පහසුකම් ලබාදී ඇත.
අධිකරණ තීන්දුව අනුව එතුමියගේ ආරක්ෂාවේ කිසිදු වෙනසක් කර නොමැත.අධිකරණ තීන්දුවක් තිබුනද එතුමියගේ ආරක්ෂක ප්‍රධානියාගේ ඉල්ලීම් අනුව සැම අවස්ථාවකදීම රජය විසින් සියලුම පහසුකම් ලබා දී ඇත.
තමන්ගේ දේශපාලන පළිගැනීම් ජනතාව ඉදිරියේ සාධාරණීකරණය කිරීමේ චේතනාවෙන් මෙවැනි ප්‍රකාශයන් කරන්නේ බංකොලොත් දේශපාලකයන්ය.මේ ආණ්ඩුව යටතේ කොටි සංවිධානයට නැවත පන දීමේ උත්සාහයන් කීපයක් හෙලිවී ඇත.මේ වසර මුලදී විදේශ රටවල සිටින කොටි ක්‍රියාකාරීන් පුනරුත්ථාපනය නොවූ හිටපු කොටි ත්‍රස්තවාදීන් යොදවා දෙමල ජාතික සන්ධානයේ මන්ත්‍රීවරයකු ඝාතනය කිරීමක් හෙලිකරගැනීමට පොලිසියට හැකිවිය.මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් කිහිප දෙනෙකුම අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීමට හැකි වූ අතර ඒ සදහා භාවිතා කිරීමට නියමිතව තිබු ක්ලේමෝ බෝම්බ දෙකක්ද සොයාගන්නා ලදී. වර්තමාන රජය රැදවුම් භාරයේ සිටි භයානක කොටි ත්‍රස්තවාදීන් නිදහස්කර ඇත. පසුගිය රජය කොටි ත්‍රස්ත්තවදීන් 11000 වැඩි ප්‍රමාණයක් පුනරුත්ථාපනය කර , එසේ කිරීමට නොහැකි අතිශයින්ම දරුනුගනයේ කොටි ත්‍රස්තවාදීන් 200 පමණ රැදවුම් බාරයේ තබාගෙන සිටියේය. වර්තමාන ආණ්ඩුව නිදහස්කර ඇත්තේ පුනරුත්ථාපනය කල නොහැකි කොටි ත්‍රස්තවදීන්ය.මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතාගේ ආරක්ෂාව අඩුකර ඇත්තේ මෙවැනි පසුබිමකය.
වසර 30 යුද්ධය අවසන්කොට ශ්‍රී ලංකාව සංවර්ධනය කරා ගෙනගිය රාජ්‍ය නායකයා වන මහින්ද රාජපක්ස මහතාගේ ජීවිතය ආරක්ෂා කිරීම වර්තමාන ජනාධිපතිතුමා ඇතුළු රජයේ වගකීම බව තරයේ සදහන් කරමි.

A statement made by certain government politicians to the effect that former President MahindaRajapaksa had filed a motion in the Supreme Court to obtain an order reducing the security of former President Chandrika Kumaratunga has been given much publicity. We unreservedly reject that statement. Neither President MahindaRajapaksa nor the Presidential Secretariat nor the Defense Ministry filed any such motion. The case that is being referred to was filed by an NGO.
At a request made by former President Chandrika Kumaratunga, the then Secretary of DefenceGotabhayaRajapaksa had gone to see her at her residence and after a discussion with her chief security officer, provided her with the personnel and necessary facilities. Despite the court ruling, no change was made in her security arrangements and the requests made by her chief security officer at various times, were always met.
Certain bankrupt politicians are making various statements aimed atjustifying their own vengeful actions in the eyes of the public. Under thisgovernment, there have been several attempts to revive the LTTE. Earlierthis year, a plan by the LTTE Diaspora overseas to use former LTTEoperatives to assassinate a TNA parliamentarian was uncovered with several
arrests being made. Two claymore mines which were to be used in the attack were also recovered.
Dangerous LTTE operatives held in detention are being continuously released by this government. My government rehabilitated over 11,000 LTTE terrorists, and kept only a couple of hundred hardcore terrorists deemed impossible to rehabilitate, in detention. These are the operatives who were released by the government. It is in such a backdrop that former President MahindaRajapaksa’s security contingent has been reduced in numbers. I wish to emphasize that it is the bounden duty of the present President andPrime Minister to ensure the security of former President MahindaRajapaksa who ended the three decade long war.
