ශ්රී ලංකාවේ සැලකිලිමත් පුරවැසියන් සහ ගෝලීය ශ්රී ලාංකික ඩයස්පෝරාව හෙවත් Concerned Citizens of Sri Lanka and the Global Sri Lankan Diaspora යොමුකර ඇති වාර්තාව හරහා වත්මන් මාලිමා පාලනයේ ප්රධානතම කොටස හෙවත් තීරක බලය අත ඇති වත්මන් ජනතා විමුක්ති පෙරමුණ ප්රමුඛ ශ්රී ලංකා රජය සහ වෙනිසියුලාවේ නිකොලස් මධුරෝගේ අධිචෝදනා ලැබූ පාලනය අතර රහසිගත සබඳතා පිළිබඳව විමර්ශනය කිරීම සඳහා හදිසි ඉල්ලීමක් කර තිබේ. ඒ සදහා ප්රධාන කාරණා 4ක් කෙරෙහි ඇමරිකානු පාලනයේ අවධානය යොමුකර ඇති අතර ඒ හරහා එක්සත් ජනපදට අවදානමද පෙන්වා දි තිබේ.

ශ්රී ලංකාවේ වත්මන් ජනතා විමුක්ති පෙරමුණ (JVP) ප්රමුඛ රජය සහ වෙනිසියුලාවේ නිකොලස් මධුරෝගේ පාලනය අතර ගැඹුරු සහ රහසිගත දේශපාලන සහ සැපයුම් සම්බන්ධතා පිළිබඳව පුළුල් පරීක්ෂණයක් ආරම්භ කරන ලෙසද එම පෙත්සම හරහා එක්සත් ජනපද රජයෙන් ඉල්ලිමක්ද කර තිබේනවා.
එක්සත් ජනපද අධිකරණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව දැනුම් දී ඇත්තේ, මත්ද්රව්ය ත්රස්තවාදය, කොකේන් ආනයන කුමන්ත්රණය සහ මැෂින් තුවක්කු සහ විනාශකාරී උපකරණ ළඟ තබා ගැනීමේ/කුමන්ත්රණය කිරීමේ චෝදනා මත DOJ නිකොලස් මධුරෝ සහ නිව්යෝර්ක්හි දකුණු දිස්ත්රික්කයේ ඔහුගේ ඉහළ පෙළේ සහචරයින් කිහිප දෙනෙකුට එරෙහිව අධිචෝදනා ගොනු කිරීමට නියමිතව තිබේ…

වෙනිසියුලානු කොමියුනිස්ට් පක්ෂය (PCV) සහ ඒ ආශ්රිත සමාජවාදී ව්යාපාර විසින් පවත්වන ලද සම්මන්ත්රණවලට සහභාගී වීම සඳහා දර්ශන හෙට්ටිආරච්චි (JVP UK කමිටුවේ ලේකම්) සහ වෛද්ය ජනිතා ගමනායක (JVP හිටපු ලේකම් උපතිස්ස ගමනායකගේ දියණිය) ඇතුළු ඉහළ පෙළේ JVP නියෝජිතයින් කැරකස් වෙත සිදුකර තිබේන ගණුදෙනු රැසක් පිළිබඳව වහාම පරික්ෂණයක් කරන ලෙස පෙත්සම මගින් ඉල්ලා තිබේ.
එම සංචාරයේදි මෙම නියෝජිතයින් PCV ප්රධාන ලේකම් ඔස්කාර් ෆිගුරෝවා ඇතුළු ඉහළ පෙළේ වෙනිසියුලානු නිලධාරීන් සමඟ පක්ෂ දෙක අතර දේශපාලන හා ආර්ථික සම්බන්ධීකරණය සම්බන්ධයෙන් සංවෘත සාකච්ඡා පවත්වා ඇති බව එම පෙත්සම අනාවරණය කර තිබේ.
බරපතලම කරුණ වන්නේ 2024 දී ශ්රී ලංකාවේ වත්මන් ජනාධිපතිවරයාගේ ජනාධිපතිවරණ ව්යාපාරයට වෙනිසියුලානු කොමියුනිස්ට් පක්ෂය අරමුදල් සපයා ඇති බවට සැලකිය යුතු තොරතුරු අනාවරණය වි තිබිමයි.
කරුණු ගෙනහැර දක්වමින් එම පෙත්සම පෙන්වා දි ඇත්තේ එක්සත් ජනපදය විසින් “මාෆියා රාජ්යයක්” ලෙස නම් කරන ලද පාලන තන්ත්රයක් වන මධුරෝ පරිපාලනය සමඟ ඔවුන්ගේ අඛණ්ඩ සහෝදර බැඳීම, ඉන්දියානු සාගරයේ එක්සත් ජනපද අවශ්යතාවලට අවදානමක් ඇති කර තිබේන බවයි.
“නාර්කෝ-රාජ්ය”
ශ්රී ලංකාව ඉන්දියන් සාගරයේ ලෝකයේ වඩාත්ම තීරණාත්මක මුහුදු මාර්ගවල ඉහළින්ම සිටී. කැරකස් සහ කොළඹ අතර “නාර්කෝ-රාජ්ය” සන්ධානයක හැකියාව ගෝලීය සමුද්රීය ආරක්ෂාව සඳහා බියකරු දර්ශනයක් ඇති බවත් ඒ හේතුවෙන් වහාම ඒ සම්බන්ධයෙන් අවධානයෙන් සිටින ලෙසටද අදාළ පෙත්සම එක්සත් ජනපදයට අවධාරණය කර තිබේ.

SUBJECT: Urgent Request for Investigation into Clandestine Links Between the Current JVP-led Government of Sri Lanka and the Indicted Regime of Nicolás Maduro in Venezuela

Dear Mr. President,
We, the undersigned citizens of Sri Lanka and members of the international community, submit this urgent petition to bring to your immediate attention a matter of grave concern regarding international security, regional stability, and the integrity of the global financial system.
We formally request that the United States Government, under your leadership, initiate a comprehensive investigation into the deep-seated and clandestine political and logistical links between the current Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP)-led government in Sri Lanka and the regime of Nicolás Maduro in Venezuela.
The Grounds for Our Concern:
As you are aware, the U.S. Department of Justice has informed that DOJ is going to be indicted Nicolás Maduro and several of his high-ranking associates in the Southern District of New York on charges of Narco-Terrorism, Cocaine Importation Conspiracy, and Possession/Conspiracy to Possess Machineguns and Destructive Devices. These charges outline a decades-long conspiracy to use the Venezuelan state as a platform to flood the United States with cocaine and undermine American national security.
Despite these serious criminal indictments, the JVP (the core power behind the current Sri Lankan administration) has maintained active, high-level engagements with the Maduro regime’s political apparatus. Public records and official party communications confirm that:
- Direct Diplomatic Engagement: High-ranking JVP representatives, including Comrade Darshana Hettiarachchi (Secretary of the JVP UK Committee) and Comrade Dr. Janitha Gamanayake (daughter of former JVP Secretary Upatissa Gamanayake), have traveled to Caracas to participate in conferences hosted by the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) and associated socialist movements.
- Strategic Collaboration: These delegates have held closed-door discussions with high-ranking Venezuelan officials, including PCV General Secretary Oscar Figueroa, regarding the political and economic coordination between the two parties.
- Ideological Alignment with Indicted Entities: While the JVP presents a moderate face to international creditors, their continued fraternal bond with the Maduro administration—a regime designated by the U.S. as a “Mafia State”—suggests a dangerous duality that poses a risk to U.S. interests in the Indian Ocean.
- There are substantial information the Venezuelan Communist party has funded Sri Lankan incumbent President’s presidential election campaign in 2024
The Risk to United States Interests:
Sri Lanka sits atop the world’s most critical sea lanes in the Indian Ocean. The possibility of a “Narco-State” alliance between Caracas and Colombo presents a nightmare scenario for global maritime security. We are concerned that these clandestine links may facilitate:
- Sanctions Evasion: The use of Sri Lankan financial or maritime channels to help the Maduro regime bypass U.S. Department of the Treasury sanctions.
- Transnational Crime: The establishment of logistical hubs that could be exploited by the same narco-terrorist elements currently indicted in U.S. courts.
- Geopolitical Instability: The importation of socialist authoritarian tactics that threaten the democratic sovereignty of Sri Lanka and its alignment with the free world.
Our Request:
Mr. President, you have always stood for the rule of law and the eradication of international drug cartels that poison our societies. We respectfully urge your administration to:
- Investigate the nature of the financial and political agreements made between JVP representatives and the Maduro regime during their visits to Caracas.
2.Monitor all high-level state and party-level exchanges between Colombo and Caracas for potential violations of U.S. sanctions.
- Evaluate whether the current Sri Lankan government’s ties to indicted narco-terrorists disqualify them from certain bilateral security and economic partnerships with the United States.
The people of Sri Lanka desire a future defined by transparency, democracy, and a strong partnership with the United States—not a future shadowed by alliances with indicted international criminals.
We trust in your commitment to “Maximum Pressure” against narco-terrorist regimes and ask that you ensure Sri Lanka does not become a silent partner in the Maduro conspiracy.
