Our political reporter has been reported that the former President and SLFP party advisor Mrs Chadrika Bandaranayake, has been blamed on the President Maithireepala Sirisena, stating that “it’s a responsibility of the chairman of SLPA to stop all the groups and people who are trying for discussions with Mahinda Rajapakshe or any other without or with permission of him”, and added if he is unable to do the job, she will be taking an action for take over all the responsibilities of the Chairman SLFP.
This issue has been arisen after the meeting which the Ministers of SLFP had with the former president Mahinda Rajapakshe, and also with the information about number of their Ministers are to join with him for a new journey with him, and it has made a displeasure in Mrs Chandrika Bandaranayaka and has blamed to Prasident Maithreepala Sirisena pointing out that “If the Chairman is not strong enough to handle their own members, its meaningless to hold the position by him anymore.
After the incidence the President has been promised to Mrs. Chandrika Bandaranayaka that hereafter he will not allow any member to have discussions or meetings with anybody with or without permission of the SLFP Central Committee.
Furthermore, her blame on the President regarding that the ministers declaration of that he is going to participate for the Presidential Election going to be held on 2020.
The chief secretary of the party, Minister Duminda Dissanayake, Minister S B Dissanayake, Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara has said that, the decision was taken at a SLFP Central Committee meeting which was held on two weeks ago, to nominate President Maithreepala Sirisena for the Presidential Election on 2020, but Mrs Chandrika Bandaranayaka was absent for the session.
And also she has informed to call for an immediate central committee meeting and then she will aware the party party members over decision making procedures of the party.
According to our political reporter, declaration made by Prasident Maithreepala Sirisena focusing on Primer Wickramsighe at Abhayarama Temple, has been caused to hurt Mrs. Chandrika Banradanayaka.
