ඉන්දීය රජයේ ඉහළ පෙළේ නියෝජිතයේකු පසුගිය බ්‍රහස්පතින්දා රහසේම දිවයිනට පැමිණ අග්‍රාමාත්‍ය රනිල් වික්‍රමසිංහ ඇතුලු පිරිසක් සමග රහසිගත සාකච්ඡාවක් පවත්වා තිබේ.එම සාකච්ඡාවට පාඨලී චම්පික රණවක සහ රාජිත සේනාරත්න,සාගල රත්නායක ඇතුලු පිරිස සහභාගි වි ඇති බව සාගල විසින්ම සිය සමීපත්ම මිතුරෙකුට අනාවරණය කර තිබේ.
එම සාකච්ඡාවේදි මහා මැතිවරණයේ තත්ත්වය සම්බන්ධයෙන් දිර්ඝ වශයෙන් සාකච්ඡා කර ඇති අතර මහා මැතිවරණය ජයග්‍රහණය කිරිම සදහා ඉන්දිය රජයේ සහය නිරන්තර ලබා දෙන බවට පොරොන්දුවක්ද ලබාදුන් බව පවසා තිබේ.
මැතිවරණයේ ප්‍රතිපල අනුව යම් තිරණාත්මක අවස්ථාවකට එලබුනහොත් ද්‍රවිධ ජාතික සන්ධානය ඇතුලු සුළු පක්ෂ එකතුකර ගැනිමට ඉන්දිය රජයේ සහය නිරන්තර ලබාදිමට පොරොන්දුවක්ද දි තිබේ.කෙසේවෙතත් දිවයිනට පැමිණි මෙම ඉන්දිය නියෝජිතයා ද්‍රවිධ සන්ධානයේ සමාජිකයන් හමුවි නෑ.පැය 3ක සාකච්ඡාවකින් පසුව ඉන්දිය නියෝජිතයා යලිත් දිවයිනෙන් පිටත්ව ගොස් තිබේ.
ඉන්දීය රහස් ඔත්තු සේවය හෙවත් රෝ සංවිධානයේ සමාජිකයන් 500ක් මේ වනවිටත් ලංකාවේ මැතිවරණය ඉලක්කකර විවිධ ක්‍රියාකාරම් වල යෙදි සිටින බව LNW ඔත්තුකරුවන් පසුගියදා අනාවරණය කළා.විශේෂයෙන්ම් උතුරු නැගෙනහිර ප්‍රදේශ මෙන්ම සුළු ජාතික දේශපාලන පක්ෂවලට වාසිදායක ප්‍රදේශ වල ඔහු නිරික්ෂණ කටයුතු වල යෙදි සිටින අතර එක්සත් ජාතික පක්ෂයට සම්බන්ධ කැෆේ සංවිධානය සහ පැෆ්රල් සංවිධානයේ නියෝජිතයන් ලෙස මෙම පිරිස් රටේ මැතිවරණ නිරීක්ෂණයේ යෙදේන බව අනාවරණය වි තිබේ.
මේ අතර ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ පැවැත්වීමට නියමිත පාර්ලිමේන්තු මැතිවරණයේ තීන්දුව ලොව සියළු රටවලට ඉතා වැදගත් බව ඇමරිකානු බුද්ධි අංශයේ හිටපු අධ්‍යක්‍ෂක Itmiral Dennis Blair ප්‍රකාශ කර තිබේ.
ඇමරිකාවේ ‘ද ඩිප්ලෝමැඩ්’ යන සගරාවට අදහස් දැක්වූ අවස්ථාවේදී ඔහු මේ බව ප්‍රකාශ කර ඇත. “ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ පැවැත්වීමට නියමිත පාර්ලිමේන්තු මැතිවරණයේ තීන්දුව, ඉන්දීය ප්‍රාන්ත කලාප රටවල් මෙන් ලොව සෑම රටකටම ඉතාමත් වැදගත් වනු ඇති බවයි.
දකුණු ආසියාවේ ප්‍රධාන ගමනා ගමන කේන්ද්‍රස්ථානයක් ලෙස ශ්‍රී ලංකාව හැදින්විය හැකිය. ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදී ක්‍රමයට ඇමරිකාව පූර්ණ සහයෝගය ලබාදිය යුතුය. හිටපු ජනාධිපති මහින්ද රාජපක්‍ෂ, ඇමරිකාවේ ප්‍රථිපත්ති වලට පටහැනිව කටයුතු කර තිබේ.වත්මන් ජනාධිපති මෛත්‍රීපාල සිරිසේනගේ කටයුතු ප්‍රශංසා කල යුතුය. ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ අනාගතය, දේශීය බලවේගයන් තීරණය කරනු ඇත” යනුවෙන් Itmiral Dennis Blair ප්‍රකාශ කර තිබේ.
[box type=”note” ]The US official notes that in Sri Lanka, the two contending sides contrast starkly while in Myanmar the contrasts are not as black and white. “Mahinda Rajapaksa was president for 10 years. In 2009, his forces finally crushed the prolonged and vicious Tamil insurgency. The brutal final stages of the government victory, in which thousands died, were never acknowledged or investigated. Subsequently Rajapaksa usurped more and more power into the office of the presidency, did little to reconcile the defeated Tamil minority, and allowed his family to profit handsomely from their government connections, while his security forces harassed, attacked, and sometimes killed critics,” Blair wrote.
Trying for a third presidential term, Rajapaksa was voted out of office in January of this year in favor of Sirisena, who quickly reversed many of his predecessor’s actions, restoring a democratic balance of power in the country. Sirisena has now called a parliamentary election seeking a mandate to continue reforms and Rajapaksa and his supporters are attacking Sirisena and his policies and seeking to return to power to continue their authoritarian and divisive policies, Blair said. According to the former intelligence official, domestic forces will determine the future of both Sri Lanka and Myanmar.
“Most important will be the results of the elections themselves, both of which appear on course to produce reliable results based on largely free and fair processes. The subsequent maneuvers and agreements of the leaders of the various factions will play the critical role in the shape and speed of the next phase of democratic reform in both countries,” he says. He recalled that the United States cooled relations as Rajapaksa’s regime became more oppressive, welcomed Sirisena’s election, and Secretary of State John Kerry made a visit to Sri Lanka in May. According to Blair, Washington has made it clear that democratic progress must continue, and that there must be accountability for the killings at the end of the civil war for bilateral relations to improve. Noting that Sri Lanka wants good relations, with more economic investment, the retired Admiral of US Navy suggested the US should support and encourage Sri Lanka’s democratic transformation given the recent positive developments in Sri Lanka.
